8:1. Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepadaku: "Ambillah sebuah batu tulis besar dan tuliskanlah di atasnya dengan tulisan biasa: Maher-Syalal Hash-Bas." |
| 8:2 And I took [05749] (0) unto me faithful [0539] (8737) witnesses [05707] to record [05749] (8686), Uriah [0223] the priest [03548], and Zechariah [02148] the son [01121] of Jeberechiah [03000]. |
8:2 Maka aku memanggil dua saksi yang dapat dipercaya, yaitu imam Uria dan Zakharia bin Yeberekhya. |

8:3 Kemudian aku menghampiri isteriku; ia mengandung dan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki. Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepadaku: "Namailah dia: Maher-Syalal Hash-Bas, |
| 8:4 For before the child [05288] shall have knowledge [03045] (8799) to cry [07121] (8800), My father [001], and my mother [0517], the riches [02428] of Damascus [01834] and the spoil [07998] of Samaria [08111] shall be taken away [05375] (8799) before [06440] the king [04428] of Assyria [0804]. |
8:4 sebab sebelum anak itu tahu memanggil: Bapa! Ibu! maka kekayaan Damsyik dan jarahan Samaria akan diangkut di depan raja Asyur." |

8:5 TUHAN melanjutkan lagi firman-Nya kepadaku: |
| 8:6 Forasmuch [03282] as this people [05971] refuseth [03988] (8804) the waters [04325] of Shiloah [07975] that go [01980] (8802) softly [0328], and rejoice [04885] in Rezin [07526] and Remaliah's [07425] son [01121]; |
8:6 "Oleh karena bangsa ini telah menolak air Syiloah yang mengalir lamban, dan telah tawar hati terhadap Rezin dan anak Remalya, |
| 8:7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord [0136] bringeth up [05927] (8688) upon them the waters [04325] of the river [05104], strong [06099] and many [07227], {even} the king [04428] of Assyria [0804], and all his glory [03519]: and he shall come up [05927] (8804) over all his channels [0650], and go over [01980] (8804) all his banks [01415]: |
8:7 sebab itu, sesungguhnya, Tuhan akan membuat air sungai Efrat yang kuat dan besar, meluap-luap atas mereka, yaitu raja Asyur dengan segala kemuliaannya; air ini akan meluap melampaui segenap salurannya dan akan mengalir melampaui segenap tebingnya, |
| 8:8 And he shall pass [02498] (8804) through Judah [03063]; he shall overflow [07857] (8804) and go over [05674] (8804), he shall reach [05060] (8686) {even} to the neck [06677]; and the stretching out [04298] of his wings [03671] shall fill [04393] the breadth [07341] of thy land [0776], O Immanuel [06005] [0410]. |
8:8 serta menerobos masuk ke Yehuda, ibarat banjir yang meluap-luap hingga sampai ke leher; dan sayap-sayapnya yang dikembangkan akan menutup seantero negerimu, ya Imanuel!" |

8:9. Ketahuilah, hai bangsa-bangsa, dan terkejutlah, perhatikanlah, ya segala pelosok bumi, berikatpingganglah, dan terkejutlah; berikatpingganglah dan terkejutlah! |
| 8:10 Take [05779] (0) counsel [06098] together [05779] (8798), and it shall come to nought [06565] (8714); speak [01696] (8761) the word [01697], and it shall not stand [06965] (8799): for God [0410] {is} with us. |
8:10 Buatlah rancangan, tetapi akan gagal juga; ambillah keputusan, tetapi tidak terlaksana juga, sebab Allah menyertai kami! |
| 8:11 For the LORD [03068] spake [0559] (8804) thus to me with a strong [02393] hand [03027], and instructed [03256] (8765) me that I should not walk [03212] (8800) in the way [01870] of this people [05971], saying [0559] (8800), |
8:11 Sebab beginilah firman TUHAN kepadaku, ketika tangan-Nya menguasai aku, dan ketika Ia memperingatkan aku, supaya jangan mengikuti tingkah laku bangsa ini: |
| 8:12 Say [0559] (8799) ye not, A confederacy [07195], to all {them to} whom this people [05971] shall say [0559] (8799), A confederacy [07195]; neither fear [03372] (8799) ye their fear [04172], nor be afraid [06206] (8686). |
8:12 "Jangan sebut persepakatan segala apa yang disebut bangsa ini persepakatan, dan apa yang mereka takuti janganlah kamu takuti dan janganlah gentar melihatnya. |
| 8:13 Sanctify [06942] (8686) the LORD [03068] of hosts [06635] himself; and {let} him {be} your fear [04172], and {let} him {be} your dread [06206] (8688). |
8:13 Tetapi TUHAN semesta alam, Dialah yang harus kamu akui sebagai Yang Kudus; kepada-Nyalah harus kamu takut dan terhadap Dialah harus kamu gentar. |
| 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary [04720]; but for a stone [068] of stumbling [05063] and for a rock [06697] of offence [04383] to both [08147] the houses [01004] of Israel [03478], for a gin [06341] and for a snare [04170] to the inhabitants [03427] (8802) of Jerusalem [03389]. |
8:14 Ia akan menjadi tempat kudus, tetapi juga menjadi batu sentuhan dan batu sandungan bagi kedua kaum Israel itu, serta menjadi jerat dan perangkap bagi penduduk Yerusalem. |
| 8:15 And many [07227] among them shall stumble [03782] (8804), and fall [05307] (8804), and be broken [07665] (8738), and be snared [03369] (8738), and be taken [03920] (8738). |
8:15 Dan banyak di antara mereka akan tersandung, jatuh dan luka parah, tertangkap dan tertawan." |
| 8:16. Bind up [06887] (8798) the testimony [08584], seal [02856] (8798) the law [08451] among my disciples [03928]. |
8:16. Aku harus menyimpan kesaksian ini dan memeteraikan pengajaran ini di antara murid-muridku. |
| 8:17 And I will wait [02442] (8765) upon the LORD [03068], that hideth [05641] (8688) his face [06440] from the house [01004] of Jacob [03290], and I will look [06960] (8765) for him. |
8:17 Dan aku hendak menanti-nantikan TUHAN yang menyembunyikan wajah-Nya terhadap kaum keturunan Yakub; aku hendak mengharapkan Dia. |
| 8:18 Behold, I and the children [03206] whom the LORD [03068] hath given [05414] (8804) me {are} for signs [0226] and for wonders [04159] in Israel [03478] from the LORD [03068] of hosts [06635], which dwelleth [07931] (8802) in mount [02022] Zion [06726]. |
8:18 Sesungguhnya, aku dan anak-anak yang telah diberikan TUHAN kepadaku adalah tanda dan alamat di antara orang Israel dari TUHAN semesta alam yang diam di gunung Sion. |
| 8:19 And when they shall say [0559] (8799) unto you, Seek [01875] (8798) unto them that have familiar spirits [0178], and unto wizards [03049] that peep [06850] (8772), and that mutter [01897] (8688): should not a people [05971] seek [01875] (8799) unto their God [0430]? for the living [02416] to the dead [04191] (8801)? |
8:19 Dan apabila orang berkata kepada kamu: "Mintalah petunjuk kepada arwah dan roh-roh peramal yang berbisik-bisik dan komat-kamit," maka jawablah: "Bukankah suatu bangsa patut meminta petunjuk kepada allahnya? Atau haruskah mereka meminta petunjuk kepada orang-orang mati bagi orang-orang hidup?" |
| 8:20 To the law [08451] and to the testimony [08584]: if they speak [0559] (8799) not according to this word [01697], {it is} because {there is} no light [07837] in them. |
8:20 "Carilah pengajaran dan kesaksian!" Siapa yang tidak berbicara sesuai dengan perkataan itu, maka baginya tidak terbit fajar. |
| 8:21 And they shall pass [05674] (8804) through it, hardly bestead [07185] (8737) and hungry [07457]: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry [07456] (8799), they shall fret [07107] (8694) themselves, and curse [07043] (8765) their king [04428] and their God [0430], and look [06437] (8804) upward [04605]. |
8:21 Mereka akan lalu lalang di negeri itu, melarat dan lapar, dan apabila mereka lapar, mereka akan gusar dan akan mengutuk rajanya dan Allahnya; mereka akan menengadah ke langit, |
| 8:22 And they shall look [05027] (8686) unto the earth [0776]; and behold trouble [06869] and darkness [02825], dimness [04588] of anguish [06695]; and {they shall be} driven [05080] (8794) to darkness [0653]. |
8:22 dan akan melihat ke bumi, dan sesungguhnya, hanya kesesakan dan kegelapan, kesuraman yang mengimpit, dan mereka akan dibuang ke dalam kabut. |
