| 20:1. When thou goest out [03318] (8799) to battle [04421] against thine enemies [0341] (8802), and seest [07200] (8804) horses [05483], and chariots [07393], {and} a people [05971] more [07227] than thou, be not afraid [03372] (8799) of them: for the LORD [03068] thy God [0430] {is} with thee, which brought thee up [05927] (8688) out of the land [0776] of Egypt [04714]. |
20:1. "Apabila engkau keluar berperang melawan musuhmu, dan engkau melihat kuda dan kereta, yakni tentara yang lebih banyak dari padamu, maka janganlah engkau takut kepadanya, sebab TUHAN, Allahmu, yang telah menuntun engkau keluar dari tanah Mesir, menyertai engkau. |
| 20:2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh [07126] (8800) unto the battle [04421], that the priest [03548] shall approach [05066] (8738) and speak [01696] (8765) unto the people [05971], |
20:2 Apabila kamu menghadapi pertempuran, maka seorang imam harus tampil ke depan dan berbicara kepada rakyat, |
| 20:3 And shall say [0559] (8804) unto them, Hear [08085] (8798), O Israel [03478], ye approach [07131] this day [03117] unto battle [04421] against your enemies [0341] (8802): let not your hearts [03824] faint [07401] (8735), fear [03372] (8799) not, and do not tremble [02648] (8799), neither be ye terrified [06206] (8799) because [06440] of them; |
20:3 dengan berkata kepada mereka: Dengarlah, hai orang Israel! Kamu sekarang menghadapi pertempuran melawan musuhmu; janganlah lemah hatimu, janganlah takut, janganlah gentar dan janganlah gemetar karena mereka, |
| 20:4 For the LORD [03068] your God [0430] {is} he that goeth [01980] (8802) with you, to fight [03898] (8736) for you against your enemies [0341] (8802), to save [03467] (8687) you. |
20:4 sebab TUHAN, Allahmu, Dialah yang berjalan menyertai kamu untuk berperang bagimu melawan musuhmu, dengan maksud memberikan kemenangan kepadamu. |
| 20:5 And the officers [07860] (8802) shall speak [01696] (8765) unto the people [05971], saying [0559] (8800), What man [0376] {is there} that hath built [01129] (8804) a new [02319] house [01004], and hath not dedicated [02596] (8804) it? let him go [03212] (8799) and return [07725] (8799) to his house [01004], lest he die [04191] (8799) in the battle [04421], and another [0312] man [0376] dedicate [02596] (8799) it. |
20:5 Para pengatur pasukan haruslah berbicara kepada tentara, demikian: Siapakah orang yang telah mendirikan rumah baru, tetapi belum menempatinya? Ia boleh pergi dan pulang ke rumahnya, supaya jangan ia mati dalam pertempuran dan orang lain yang menempatinya. |
| 20:6 And what man [0376] {is he} that hath planted [05193] (8804) a vineyard [03754], and hath not {yet} eaten [02490] (8765) of it? let him {also} go [03212] (8799) and return [07725] (8799) unto his house [01004], lest he die [04191] (8799) in the battle [04421], and another [0312] man [0376] eat [02490] (8762) of it. |
20:6 Dan siapa telah membuat kebun anggur, tetapi belum mengecap hasilnya? Ia boleh pergi dan pulang ke rumahnya, supaya jangan ia mati dalam pertempuran dan orang lain yang mengecap hasilnya. |
| 20:7 And what man [0376] {is there} that hath betrothed [0781] (8765) a wife [0802], and hath not taken [03947] (8804) her? let him go [03212] (8799) and return [07725] (8799) unto his house [01004], lest he die [04191] (8799) in the battle [04421], and another [0312] man [0376] take [03947] (8799) her. |
20:7 Dan siapa telah bertunangan dengan seorang perempuan, tetapi belum mengawininya? Ia boleh pergi dan pulang ke rumahnya, supaya jangan ia mati dalam pertempuran dan orang lain yang mengawininya. |
| 20:8 And the officers [07860] (8802) shall speak [01696] (8763) further [03254] (8804) unto the people [05971], and they shall say [0559] (8804), What man [0376] {is there that is} fearful [03373] and fainthearted [07390] [03824]? let him go [03212] (8799) and return [07725] (8799) unto his house [01004], lest his brethren's [0251] heart [03824] faint [04549] (8735) as well as his heart [03824]. |
20:8 Lagi para pengatur pasukan itu harus berbicara kepada tentara demikian: Siapa takut dan lemah hati? Ia boleh pergi dan pulang ke rumahnya, supaya hati saudara-saudaranya jangan tawar seperti hatinya. |
| 20:9 And it shall be, when the officers [07860] (8802) have made an end [03615] (8763) of speaking [01696] (8763) unto the people [05971], that they shall make [06485] (8804) captains [08269] of the armies [06635] to lead [07218] the people [05971]. |
20:9 Apabila para pengatur pasukan selesai berbicara kepada tentara, maka haruslah ditunjuk kepala-kepala pasukan untuk mengepalai tentara. |
| 20:10. When thou comest nigh [07126] (8799) unto a city [05892] to fight [03898] (8736) against it, then proclaim [07121] (8804) peace [07965] unto it. |
20:10. Apabila engkau mendekati suatu kota untuk berperang melawannya, maka haruslah engkau menawarkan perdamaian kepadanya. |
| 20:11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer [06030] (8799) of peace [07965], and open [06605] (8804) unto thee, then it shall be, {that} all the people [05971] {that is} found [04672] (8737) therein shall be tributaries [04522] unto thee, and they shall serve [05647] (8804) thee. |
20:11 Apabila kota itu menerima tawaran perdamaian itu dan dibukanya pintu gerbang bagimu, maka haruslah semua orang yang terdapat di situ melakukan pekerjaan rodi bagimu dan menjadi hamba kepadamu. |
| 20:12 And if it will make no peace [07999] (8686) with thee, but will make [06213] (8804) war [04421] against thee, then thou shalt besiege [06696] (8804) it: |
20:12 Tetapi apabila kota itu tidak mau berdamai dengan engkau, melainkan mengadakan pertempuran melawan engkau, maka haruslah engkau mengepungnya; |
| 20:13 And when the LORD [03068] thy God [0430] hath delivered [05414] (8804) it into thine hands [03027], thou shalt smite [05221] (8689) every male [02138] thereof with the edge [06310] of the sword [02719]: |
20:13 dan setelah TUHAN, Allahmu, menyerahkannya ke dalam tanganmu, maka haruslah engkau membunuh seluruh penduduknya yang laki-laki dengan mata pedang. |
| 20:14 But the women [0802], and the little ones [02945], and the cattle [0929], and all that is in the city [05892], {even} all the spoil [07998] thereof, shalt thou take [0962] (8799) unto thyself; and thou shalt eat [0398] (8804) the spoil [07998] of thine enemies [0341] (8802), which the LORD [03068] thy God [0430] hath given [05414] (8804) thee. |
20:14 Hanya perempuan, anak-anak, hewan dan segala yang ada di kota itu, yakni seluruh jarahan itu, boleh kaurampas bagimu sendiri, dan jarahan yang dari musuhmu ini, yang diberikan kepadamu oleh TUHAN, Allahmu, boleh kaupergunakan. |
| 20:15 Thus shalt thou do [06213] (8799) unto all the cities [05892] {which are} very [03966] far off [07350] from thee, which [02007] {are} not of the cities [05892] of these nations [01471]. |
20:15 Demikianlah harus kaulakukan terhadap segala kota yang sangat jauh letaknya dari tempatmu, yang tidak termasuk kota-kota bangsa-bangsa di sini. |
| 20:16 But of the cities [05892] of these people [05971], which the LORD [03068] thy God [0430] doth give [05414] (8802) thee {for} an inheritance [05159], thou shalt save alive [02421] (8762) nothing that breatheth [05397]: |
20:16 Tetapi dari kota-kota bangsa-bangsa itu yang diberikan TUHAN, Allahmu, kepadamu menjadi milik pusakamu, janganlah kaubiarkan hidup apapun yang bernafas, |
| 20:17 But thou shalt utterly [02763] (8687) destroy [02763] (8686) them; {namely}, the Hittites [02850], and the Amorites [0567], the Canaanites [03669], and the Perizzites [06522], the Hivites [02340], and the Jebusites [02983]; as the LORD [03068] thy God [0430] hath commanded [06680] (8765) thee: |
20:17 melainkan kautumpas sama sekali, yakni orang Het, orang Amori, orang Kanaan, orang Feris, orang Hewi, dan orang Yebus, seperti yang diperintahkan kepadamu oleh TUHAN, Allahmu, |
| 20:18 That they teach [03925] (8762) you not to do [06213] (8800) after all their abominations [08441], which they have done [06213] (8804) unto their gods [0430]; so should ye sin [02398] (8804) against the LORD [03068] your God [0430]. |
20:18 supaya mereka jangan mengajar kamu berbuat sesuai dengan segala kekejian, yang dilakukan mereka bagi allah mereka, sehingga kamu berbuat dosa kepada TUHAN, Allahmu. |
| 20:19 When thou shalt besiege [06696] (8799) a city [05892] a long [07227] time [03117], in making war [03898] (8736) against it to take [08610] (8800) it, thou shalt not destroy [07843] (8686) the trees [06086] thereof by forcing [05080] (8800) an axe [01631] against them: for thou mayest eat [0398] (8799) of them, and thou shalt not cut them down [03772] (8799) (for the tree [06086] of the field [07704] {is} man's [0120] {life}) to employ [0935] (8800) {them} in the siege [06440] [04692]: |
20:19 Apabila dalam memerangi suatu kota, engkau lama mengepungnya untuk direbut, maka tidak boleh engkau merusakkan pohon-pohon sekelilingnya dengan mengayunkan kapak kepadanya; buahnya boleh kaumakan, tetapi batangnya janganlah kautebang; sebab, pohon yang di padang itu bukan manusia, jadi tidak patut ikut kaukepung. |
| 20:20 Only the trees [06086] which thou knowest [03045] (8799) that they {be} not trees [06086] for meat [03978], thou shalt destroy [07843] (8686) and cut them down [03772] (8804); and thou shalt build [01129] (8804) bulwarks [04692] against the city [05892] that maketh [06213] (8802) war [04421] with thee, until it be subdued [03381] (8800). |
20:20 Hanya pohon-pohon, yang engkau tahu tidak menghasilkan makanan, boleh kaurusakkan dan kautebang untuk mendirikan pagar pengepungan terhadap kota yang berperang melawan engkau, sampai kota itu jatuh." |
