| 11:1. <> In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain? |
11:1. Untuk pemimpin biduan. Dari Daud. Pada TUHAN aku berlindung, bagaimana kamu berani berkata kepadaku: "Terbanglah ke gunung seperti burung!" |
| 11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. |
11:2 Sebab, lihat orang fasik melentur busurnya, mereka memasang anak panahnya pada tali busur, untuk memanah orang yang tulus hati di tempat gelap. |
| 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? |
11:3 Apabila dasar-dasar dihancurkan, apakah yang dapat dibuat oleh orang benar itu? |
| 11:4. The LORD [is] in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne [is] in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. |
11:4. TUHAN ada di dalam bait-Nya yang kudus; TUHAN, takhta-Nya di sorga; mata-Nya mengamat-amati, sorot mata-Nya menguji anak-anak manusia. |
| 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. |
11:5 TUHAN menguji orang benar dan orang fasik, dan Ia membenci orang yang mencintai kekerasan. |
| 11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion of their cup. |
11:6 Ia menghujani orang-orang fasik dengan arang berapi dan belerang; angin yang menghanguskan, itulah isi piala mereka. |
| 11:7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. |
11:7 Sebab TUHAN adalah adil dan Ia mengasihi keadilan; orang yang tulus akan memandang wajah-Nya. |
