| 18:1. In those days [03117] {there was} no king [04428] in Israel [03478]: and in those days [03117] the tribe [07626] of the Danites [01839] sought [01245] (8764) them an inheritance [05159] to dwell in [03427] (8800); for unto that day [03117] {all their} inheritance [05159] had not fallen [05307] (8804) unto them among [08432] the tribes [07626] of Israel [03478]. |
18:1. Pada zaman itu tidak ada raja di antara orang Israel dan pada zaman itu suku Dan sedang mencari milik pusaka untuk menetap, sebab sampai hari itu mereka belum juga mendapat bagian milik pusaka di tengah-tengah suku-suku Israel. |
| 18:2 And the children [01121] of Dan [01835] sent [07971] (8799) of their family [04940] five [02568] men [0582] from their coasts [07098], men [01121] of valour [02428], from Zorah [06881], and from Eshtaol [0847], to spy [07270] (8763) out the land [0776], and to search [02713] (8800) it; and they said [0559] (8799) unto them, Go [03212] (8798), search [02713] (8798) the land [0776]: who when they came [0935] (8799) to mount [02022] Ephraim [0669], to the house [01004] of Micah [04318], they lodged [03885] (8799) there. |
18:2 Sebab itu bani Dan menyuruh dari kaumnya lima orang dari seluruh jumlah mereka, semuanya orang-orang yang gagah perkasa, yang berasal dari Zora dan Esytaol, untuk mengintai negeri itu dan menyelidikinya, serta berkata kepada mereka: "Pergilah menyelidiki negeri itu." | 18:3 When they {were} by the house [01004] of Micah [04318], they knew [05234] (8689) the voice [06963] of the young man [05288] the Levite [03881]: and they turned in [05493] (8799) thither, and said [0559] (8799) unto him, Who brought [0935] (8689) thee hither [01988]? and what makest [06213] (8802) thou in this {place}? and what hast thou here? |
18:3 Ketika mereka ada dekat rumah Mikha itu, dikenal merekalah logat orang muda suku Lewi itu, lalu singgahlah mereka ke sana dan berkata kepadanya: "Siapakah yang membawa engkau ke mari? Apakah pekerjaanmu dan urusanmu di sini?" |
| 18:4 And he said [0559] (8799) unto them, Thus [02090] and thus [02090] dealeth [06213] (8804) Micah [04318] with me, and hath hired [07936] (8799) me, and I am his priest [03548]. |
18:4 Katanya kepada mereka: "Begini begitulah dilakukan Mikha kepadaku; ia menggaji aku dan aku menjadi imamnya." |
| 18:5 And they said [0559] (8799) unto him, Ask counsel [07592] (8798), we pray thee, of God [0430], that we may know [03045] (8799) whether our way [01870] which we go [01980] (8802) shall be prosperous [06743] (8686). |
18:5 Kata mereka kepadanya: "Tanyakanlah kiranya kepada Allah, supaya kami ketahui apakah perjalanan yang kami tempuh ini akan berhasil." |
| 18:6 And the priest [03548] said [0559] (8799) unto them, Go [03212] (8798) in peace [07965]: before [05227] the LORD [03068] {is} your way [01870] wherein ye go [03212] (8799). |
18:6 Kata imam itu kepada mereka: "Pergilah dengan selamat! Perjalanan yang kamu tempuh itu dipandang baik oleh TUHAN." |
| 18:7. Then the five [02568] men [0582] departed [03212] (8799), and came [0935] (8799) to Laish [03919], and saw [07200] (8799) the people [05971] that {were} therein [07130], how they dwelt [03427] (8802) careless [0983], after the manner [04941] of the Zidonians [06722], quiet [08252] (8802) and secure [0982] (8802); and {there was} no magistrate [03423] (8802) [06114] in the land [0776], that might put {them} to shame [03637] (8688) in {any} thing [01697]; and they {were} far [07350] from the Zidonians [06722], and had no business [01697] with {any} man [0120]. |
18:7. Sesudah itu pergilah kelima orang itu, lalu sampailah mereka ke Lais. Dilihat merekalah, bahwa rakyat yang diam di sana hidup dengan tenteram, menurut adat orang Sidon, aman dan tenteram. Orang-orang itu tidak kekurangan apapun yang ada di muka bumi, malah kaya harta. Mereka tinggal jauh dari orang Sidon dan tidak bergaul dengan siapapun juga. |
| 18:8 And they came [0935] (8799) unto their brethren [0251] to Zorah [06881] and Eshtaol [0847]: and their brethren [0251] said [0559] (8799) unto them, What {say} ye? |
18:8 Setelah mereka kembali kepada saudara-saudara sesukunya di Zora dan Esytaol, berkatalah saudara-saudara sesukunya kepada mereka: "Apakah yang kamu dapati di sana?" |
| 18:9 And they said [0559] (8799), Arise [06965] (8798), that we may go up [05927] (8799) against them: for we have seen [07200] (8804) the land [0776], and, behold, it {is} very [03966] good [02896]: and {are} ye still [02814] (8688)? be not slothful [06101] (8735) to go [03212] (8800), {and} to enter [0935] (8800) to possess [03423] (8800) the land [0776]. |
18:9 Jawab mereka: "Bersiaplah, marilah kita maju menyerang mereka, sebab kami telah melihat negeri itu, dan memang sangat baik. Masakan kamu tinggal diam! Janganlah bermalas-malas untuk pergi memasuki dan menduduki negeri itu. |
| 18:10 When ye go [0935] (8800), ye shall come [0935] (8799) unto a people [05971] secure [0982] (8802), and to a large [07342] land [0776]: for God [0430] hath given [05414] (8804) it into your hands [03027]; a place [04725] where {there is} no want [04270] of any thing [01697] that {is} in the earth [0776]. |
18:10 Apabila kamu memasukinya kamu mendapati rakyat yang hidup dengan tenteram, dan negeri itu luas ke sebelah kiri dan ke sebelah kanan. Sesungguhnya, Allah telah menyerahkannya ke dalam tanganmu; itulah tempat yang tidak kekurangan apapun yang ada di muka bumi." |
| 18:11 And there went [05265] (8799) from thence of the family [04940] of the Danites [01839], out of Zorah [06881] and out of Eshtaol [0847], six [08337] hundred [03967] men [0376] appointed [02296] (8803) with weapons [03627] of war [04421]. |
18:11 Lalu berangkatlah dari sana, dari Zora dan Esytaol, enam ratus orang dari kaum suku Dan, diperlengkapi dengan senjata. |
| 18:12 And they went up [05927] (8799), and pitched [02583] (8799) in Kirjathjearim [07157], in Judah [03063]: wherefore they called [07121] (8804) that place [04725] Mahanehdan [04265] unto this day [03117]: behold, {it is} behind [0310] Kirjathjearim [07157]. |
18:12 Mereka maju, lalu berkemah di Kiryat-Yearim di Yehuda. Itulah sebabnya tempat itu disebut Mahane-Dan sampai sekarang; letaknya di sebelah barat Kiryat-Yearim. |
| 18:13 And they passed [05674] (8799) thence unto mount [02022] Ephraim [0669], and came [0935] (8799) unto the house [01004] of Micah [04318]. |
18:13 Dari sana mereka bergerak terus ke pegunungan Efraim dan sampai di rumah Mikha. |
| 18:14. Then answered [06030] (8799) the five [02568] men [0582] that went [01980] (8802) to spy out [07270] (8763) the country [0776] of Laish [03919], and said [0559] (8799) unto their brethren [0251], Do ye know [03045] (8804) that there is [03426] in these houses [01004] an ephod [0646], and teraphim [08655], and a graven image [06459], and a molten image [04541]? now therefore consider [03045] (8798) what ye have to do [06213] (8799). |
18:14. Lalu berbicaralah kelima orang yang telah pergi mengintai daerah Lais itu, katanya kepada saudara-saudara sesukunya: "Tahukah kamu, bahwa dalam rumah-rumah ini ada efod, terafim, patung pahatan dan patung tuangan? Oleh sebab itu, insafilah apa yang akan kamu perbuat!" |
| 18:15 And they turned [05493] (8799) thitherward, and came [0935] (8799) to the house [01004] of the young man [05288] the Levite [03881], {even} unto the house [01004] of Micah [04318], and saluted [07592] (8799) [07965] him. |
18:15 Kemudian mereka menuju ke tempat itu, lalu sampai di rumah orang muda suku Lewi itu, di rumah Mikha, dan menanyakan apakah ia selamat. |
| 18:16 And the six [08337] hundred [03967] men [0376] appointed [02296] (8803) with their weapons [03627] of war [04421], which {were} of the children [01121] of Dan [01835], stood [05324] (8737) by the entering [06607] of the gate [08179]. |
18:16 Sementara keenam ratus orang dari bani Dan yang diperlengkapi dengan senjata itu tinggal berdiri di pintu gerbang, |
| 18:17 And the five [02568] men [0582] that went [01980] (8802) to spy out [07270] (8763) the land [0776] went up [05927] (8799), {and} came in [0935] (8804) thither, {and} took [03947] (8804) the graven image [06459], and the ephod [0646], and the teraphim [08655], and the molten image [04541]: and the priest [03548] stood [05324] (8737) in the entering [06607] of the gate [08179] with the six [08337] hundred [03967] men [0376] {that were} appointed [02296] (8803) with weapons [03627] of war [04421]. |
18:17 maka kelima orang yang telah pergi mengintai negeri itu berjalan terus, masuk ke dalam lalu mengambil patung pahatan, efod, terafim dan patung tuangan itu. Adapun imam itu berdiri di pintu gerbang bersama-sama dengan keenam ratus orang yang diperlengkapi dengan senjata itu. |
| 18:18 And these went [0935] (8804) into Micah's [04318] house [01004], and fetched [03947] (8799) the carved image [06459], the ephod [0646], and the teraphim [08655], and the molten image [04541]. Then said [0559] (8799) the priest [03548] unto them, What do [06213] (8802) ye? |
18:18 Tetapi, setelah yang lain-lain itu masuk ke dalam rumah Mikha dan mengambil patung pahatan, efod, terafim dan patung tuangan itu, berkatalah imam itu kepada mereka: "Berbuat apakah kamu ini?" |
| 18:19 And they said [0559] (8799) unto him, Hold thy peace [02790] (8685), lay [07760] (8798) thine hand [03027] upon thy mouth [06310], and go [03212] (8798) with us, and be to us [01961] (8800) a father [001] and a priest [03548]: {is it} better [02896] for thee to be a priest [03548] unto the house [01004] of one [0259] man [0376], or that thou be a priest [03548] unto a tribe [07626] and a family [04940] in Israel [03478]? |
18:19 Tetapi jawab mereka kepadanya: "Diamlah, tutup mulut, ikutlah kami dan jadilah bapak dan imam kami. Apakah yang lebih baik bagimu: menjadi imam untuk seisi rumah satu orang atau menjadi imam untuk suatu suku dan kaum di antara orang Israel?" |
| 18:20 And the priest's [03548] heart [03820] was glad [03190] (8799), and he took [03947] (8799) the ephod [0646], and the teraphim [08655], and the graven image [06459], and went in [0935] (8799) the midst [07130] of the people [05971]. |
18:20 Maka gembiralah hati imam itu, diambilnyalah efod, terafim dan patung pahatan itu, lalu masuk ke tengah-tengah orang banyak. |
| 18:21 So they turned [06437] (8799) and departed [03212] (8799), and put [07760] (8799) the little ones [02945] and the cattle [04735] and the carriage [03520] before [06440] them. |
18:21 Kemudian berbaliklah mereka dan pergi, dengan anak-anak, ternak dan barang-barang yang berharga ditempatkan di depan mereka. |
| 18:22 {And} when they were a good way [07368] (8689) from the house [01004] of Micah [04318], the men [0582] that {were} in the houses [01004] near to Micah's [04318] house [01004] were gathered together [02199] (8738), and overtook [01692] (8686) the children [01121] of Dan [01835]. |
18:22 Ketika mereka telah jauh dari rumah Mikha, dikerahkanlah orang-orang dari rumah-rumah yang di dekat rumah Mikha dan orang-orang itu mengejar bani Dan itu. |
| 18:23 And they cried [07121] (8799) unto the children [01121] of Dan [01835]. And they turned [05437] (8686) their faces [06440], and said [0559] (8799) unto Micah [04318], What aileth thee, that thou comest with such a company [02199] (8738)? |
18:23 Mereka memanggil-manggil bani Dan, maka berbaliklah orang-orang itu dan berkata kepada Mikha: "Mau apa engkau dengan mengerahkan orang?" Lalu jawabnya: |
| 18:24 And he said [0559] (8799), Ye have taken away [03947] (8804) my gods [0430] which I made [06213] (8804), and the priest [03548], and ye are gone away [03212] (8799): and what have I more? and what {is} this {that} ye say [0559] (8799) unto me, What aileth thee? |
18:24 "Allahku yang kubuat serta imam juga kamu ambil, lalu kamu pergi. Apakah lagi yang masih tinggal padaku? Bagaimana perkataanmu itu kepadaku: Mau apa engkau?" |
| 18:25 And the children [01121] of Dan [01835] said [0559] (8799) unto him, Let not thy voice [06963] be heard [08085] (8686) among us, lest angry [04751] [05315] fellows [0582] run [06293] (8799) upon thee, and thou lose [0622] (8804) thy life [05315], with the lives [05315] of thy household [01004]. |
18:25 Berkatalah bani Dan kepadanya: "Janganlah suaramu kedengaran lagi kepada kami, nanti ada orang yang menyerang engkau karena sakit hati dan dengan demikian engkau serta seisi rumahmu kehilangan nyawa." |
| 18:26 And the children [01121] of Dan [01835] went [03212] (8799) their way [01870]: and when Micah [04318] saw [07200] (8799) that they {were} too strong [02389] for him, he turned [06437] (8799) and went back [07725] (8799) unto his house [01004]. |
18:26 Lalu bani Dan melanjutkan perjalanannya, dan Mikha, setelah dilihatnya mereka itu lebih kuat dari padanya, berpalinglah ia pulang ke rumahnya. |
| 18:27. And they took [03947] (8804) {the things} which Micah [04318] had made [06213] (8804), and the priest [03548] which he had, and came [0935] (8799) unto Laish [03919], unto a people [05971] {that were} at quiet [08252] (8802) and secure [0982] (8802): and they smote [05221] (8686) them with the edge [06310] of the sword [02719], and burnt [08313] (8804) the city [05892] with fire [0784]. |
18:27. Lalu bani Dan, dengan membawa barang-barang yang dibuat Mikha, juga imamnya, mendatangi Lais, yakni rakyat yang hidup dengan aman dan tenteram. Mereka memukul orang-orang itu dengan mata pedang dan kotanya dibakar. |
| 18:28 And {there was} no deliverer [05337] (8688), because it {was} far [07350] from Zidon [06721], and they had no business [01697] with {any} man [0120]; and it was in the valley [06010] that {lieth} by Bethrehob [01050]. And they built [01129] (8799) a city [05892], and dwelt [03427] (8799) therein. |
18:28 Tidak ada orang yang datang menolong, sebab kota itu jauh dari Sidon dan orang-orang kota itu tidak bergaul dengan siapapun juga. Letak kota itu di lembah Bet-Rehob. Kemudian bani Dan membangun kota itu kembali dan diam di sana. |
| 18:29 And they called [07121] (8799) the name [08034] of the city [05892] Dan [01835], after the name [08034] of Dan [01835] their father [001], who was born [03205] (8795) unto Israel [03478]: howbeit [0199] the name [08034] of the city [05892] {was} Laish [03919] at the first [07223]. |
18:29 Mereka menamai kota itu Dan, menurut nama bapa leluhur mereka, yakni Dan, yang lahir bagi Israel, tetapi nama kota itu dahulu adalah Lais. |
| 18:30 And the children [01121] of Dan [01835] set up [06965] (8686) the graven image [06459]: and Jonathan [03083], the son [01121] of Gershom [01647], the son [01121] of Manasseh [04519], he and his sons [01121] were priests [03548] to the tribe [07626] of Dan [01839] until the day [03117] of the captivity [01540] (8800) of the land [0776]. |
18:30 Bani Dan menegakkan bagi mereka sendiri patung pahatan itu, lalu Yonatan bin Gersom bin Musa bersama-sama dengan anak-anaknya menjadi imam bagi suku Dan, sampai penduduk negeri itu diangkut sebagai orang buangan. |
| 18:31 And they set them up [07760] (8799) Micah's [04318] graven image [06459], which he made [06213] (8804), all the time [03117] that the house [01004] of God [0430] was in Shiloh [07887]. |
18:31 Demikianlah mereka menempatkan bagi mereka sendiri patung pahatan yang telah dibuat Mikha itu, dan patung itu ada di sana selama rumah Allah ada di Silo. |
