15:2 Ia berumur enam belas tahun pada waktu ia menjadi raja dan lima puluh dua tahun lamanya ia memerintah di Yerusalem. Nama ibunya ialah Yekholya, dari Yerusalem. |

15:4 Namun demikian, bukit-bukit pengorbanan tidaklah dijauhkan. Bangsa itu masih mempersembahkan dan membakar korban di bukit-bukit itu. |

15:5 Maka TUHAN menimpakan tulah kepada raja, sehingga ia sakit kusta sampai hari kematiannya, dan tinggal dalam sebuah rumah pengasingan. Dan Yotam, anak raja, mengepalai istana dan menjalankan pemerintahan atas rakyat negeri itu. |

| 15:7 So Azariah [05838] slept [07901] (8799) with his fathers [001]; and they buried [06912] (8799) him with his fathers [001] in the city [05892] of David [01732]: and Jotham [03147] his son [01121] reigned [04427] (8799) in his stead. |
15:7 Kemudian Azarya mendapat perhentian bersama-sama dengan nenek moyangnya, dan ia dikuburkan di samping nenek moyangnya di kota Daud. Maka Yotam, anaknya, menjadi raja menggantikan dia. |

15:9 Ia melakukan apa yang jahat di mata TUHAN seperti yang telah dilakukan oleh nenek moyangnya. Ia tidak menjauh dari dosa-dosa Yerobeam bin Nebat, yang mengakibatkan orang Israel berdosa pula. |
| 15:10 And Shallum [07967] the son [01121] of Jabesh [03003] conspired [07194] (8799) against him, and smote [05221] (8686) him before [06905] the people [05971], and slew [04191] (8686) him, and reigned [04427] (8799) in his stead. |
15:10 Salum bin Yabesh mengikat persepakatan melawan dia, membunuh dia di Yibleam, kemudian menjadi raja menggantikan dia. |

15:14 Sesudah itu majulah Menahem bin Gadi dari Tirza, lalu sampai ke Samaria. Ia membunuh Salum bin Yabesh di Samaria, kemudian menjadi raja menggantikan dia. |

15:16 Pada waktu itu, dengan mulai dari Tirza, Menahem memusnahkan Tifsah dan semua orang yang ada di dalamnya serta daerahnya, sebab orang tidak membuka pintu kota baginya. Maka dimusnahkannyalah kota itu dan dibelahnya semua perempuannya yang mengandung. |

15:18 Ia melakukan apa yang jahat di mata TUHAN. Sepanjang umurnya ia tidak menjauh dari dosa-dosa Yerobeam bin Nebat, yang mengakibatkan orang Israel berdosa pula. |
| 15:19 {And} Pul [06322] the king [04428] of Assyria [0804] came [0935] (8804) against the land [0776]: and Menahem [04505] gave [05414] (8799) Pul [06322] a thousand [0505] talents [03603] of silver [03701], that his hand [03027] might be with him to confirm [02388] (8687) the kingdom [04467] in his hand [03027]. |
15:19 Pul, raja Asyur, datang menyerang negeri itu, lalu Menahem memberi seribu talenta perak kepada Pul, supaya dibantunya dia mengokohkan kerajaan itu di tangannya. |
| 15:20 And Menahem [04505] exacted [03318] (8686) the money [03701] of Israel [03478], {even} of all the mighty men [01368] of wealth [02428], of each [0259] man [0376] fifty [02572] shekels [08255] of silver [03701], to give [05414] (8800) to the king [04428] of Assyria [0804]. So the king [04428] of Assyria [0804] turned back [07725] (8799), and stayed [05975] (8804) not there in the land [0776]. |
15:20 Menahem mengeluarkan uang ini atas beban Israel dan atas beban semua orang yang kaya raya untuk diberikan kepada raja Asyur: lima puluh syikal perak dari setiap orang. Lalu pulanglah raja Asyur dan ia tidak tinggal di sana, di negeri itu. |

15:25 Lalu perwiranya, yakni Pekah bin Remalya, mengadakan persepakatan melawan dia dan membunuh dia di Samaria di puri istana raja; beserta dia ada Argob dan Arye serta lima puluh orang dari bani Gilead; dibunuhnyalah Pekahya, kemudian menjadi raja menggantikan dia. |
