Now the sons [01121] of Reuben [07205] the firstborn [01060] of Israel [03478], (for he {was} the firstborn [01060]; but, forasmuch as he defiled [02490] (8763) his father's [001] bed [03326], his birthright [01062] was given [05414] (8738) unto the sons [01121] of Joseph [03130] the son [01121] of Israel [03478]: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned [03187] (8692) after the birthright [01062]. |
5:1. Anak-anak Ruben, anak sulung Israel. Dialah anak sulung, tetapi karena ia telah melanggar kesucian petiduran ayahnya, maka hak kesulungannya diberikan kepada keturunan dari Yusuf, anak Israel juga, sekalipun tidak tercatat dalam silsilah sebagai anak sulung. |
| 5:2 For Judah [03063] prevailed [01396] (8804) above his brethren [0251], and of him {came} the chief ruler [05057]; but the birthright [01062] {was} Joseph's [03130]:) |
5:2 Memang Yehudalah yang melebihi saudara-saudaranya, bahkan salah seorang dari antaranya menjadi raja, tetapi hak sulung itu ada pada Yusuf. |

5:3 Anak-anak Ruben, anak sulung Israel, ialah Henokh, Palu, Hezron dan Karmi. |

5:4 Keturunan Yoel ialah Semaya, anaknya; anak orang ini ialah Gog, anak orang ini ialah Simei; |

5:6 anak orang ini ialah Beera yang diangkut ke dalam pembuangan oleh Tilgat-Pilneser, raja Asyur; dialah pemimpin orang Ruben. |

5:7 Saudara-saudaranya menurut kaum-kaumnya, seperti tercatat dalam silsilah menurut keturunan mereka, ialah Yeiel, kepala, lalu Zakharia, |
| 5:8 And Bela [01106] the son [01121] of Azaz [05811], the son [01121] of Shema [08087], the son [01121] of Joel [03100], who dwelt [03427] (8802) in Aroer [06177], even unto Nebo [05015] and Baalmeon [01186]: |
5:8 dan Bela bin Azas bin Sema bin Yoel; dialah yang diam di Aroer dan wilayahnya sampai ke Nebo dan Baal-Meon. |
| 5:9 And eastward [04217] he inhabited [03427] (8804) unto the entering [0935] (8800) in of the wilderness [04057] from the river [05104] Euphrates [06578]: because their cattle [04735] were multiplied [07235] (8804) in the land [0776] of Gilead [01568]. |
5:9 Dan ke sebelah timur wilayahnya sampai ke pinggir padang gurun yang terbentang mulai dari sungai Efrat, sebab ternak mereka telah bertambah banyak di tanah Gilead. |
| 5:10 And in the days [03117] of Saul [07586] they made [06213] (8804) war [04421] with the Hagarites [01905], who fell [05307] (8799) by their hand [03027]: and they dwelt [03427] (8799) in their tents [0168] throughout [06440] all the east [04217] {land} of Gilead [01568]. |
5:10 Di zaman Saul mereka melakukan perang melawan orang Hagri; setelah orang-orang ini jatuh ke dalam tangan mereka, maka mereka diam di kemah-kemah orang-orang itu di seluruh sisi timur Gilead. |
| 5:11 And the children [01121] of Gad [01410] dwelt [03427] (8804) over against them, in the land [0776] of Bashan [01316] unto Salchah [05548]: |
5:11 Bani Gad diam berbatasan dengan mereka di tanah Basan sampai Salkha. |
| 5:12 Joel [03100] the chief [07218], and Shapham [08223] the next [04932], and Jaanai [03285], and Shaphat [08202] in Bashan [01316]. |
5:12 Yoel adalah kepala dan Safam orang kedua; juga Yaenai dan Safat diam di Basan. |
| 5:13 And their brethren [0251] of the house [01004] of their fathers [001] {were}, Michael [04317], and Meshullam [04918], and Sheba [07652], and Jorai [03140], and Jachan [03275], and Zia [02127], and Heber [05677], seven [07651]. |
5:13 Saudara-saudara mereka menurut puak-puak mereka ialah Mikhael, Mesulam, Syeba, Yorai, Yakan, Ziya dan Eber, tujuh orang. |
| 5:14 These {are} the children [01121] of Abihail [032] the son [01121] of Huri [02359], the son [01121] of Jaroah [03386], the son [01121] of Gilead [01568], the son [01121] of Michael [04317], the son [01121] of Jeshishai [03454], the son [01121] of Jahdo [03163], the son [01121] of Buz [0938]; |
5:14 Itulah anak-anak Abihail bin Huri bin Yaroah bin Gilead bin Mikhael bin Yesisai bin Yahdo bin Bus. |
| 5:15 Ahi [0277] the son [01121] of Abdiel [05661], the son [01121] of Guni [01476], chief [07218] of the house [01004] of their fathers [001]. |
5:15 Ahi bin Abdiel bin Guni ialah salah seorang kepala puak mereka. |
| 5:16 And they dwelt [03427] (8799) in Gilead [01568] in Bashan [01316], and in her towns [01323], and in all the suburbs [04054] of Sharon [08289], upon their borders [08444]. |
5:16 Mereka diam di Gilead, di Basan, dan di segala anak kotanya dan di segala tanah penggembalaan Saron sampai ke ujung-ujungnya. |
| 5:17 All these were reckoned by genealogies [03187] (8694) in the days [03117] of Jotham [03147] king [04428] of Judah [03063], and in the days [03117] of Jeroboam [03379] king [04428] of Israel [03478]. |
5:17 Mereka sekalian dicatat dalam silsilah pada zaman Yotam, raja Yehuda, dan pada zaman Yerobeam, raja Israel. |
| 5:18. The sons [01121] of Reuben [07205], and the Gadites [01425], and half [02677] the tribe [07626] of Manasseh [04519], of valiant men [02428], men [0582] able to bear [05375] (8802) buckler [04043] and sword [02719], and to shoot [01869] (8802) with bow [07198], and skilful [03925] (8803) in war [04421], {were} four [0702] and forty [0705] thousand [0505] seven [07651] hundred [03967] and threescore [08346], that went out [03318] (8802) to the war [06635]. |
5:18. Dari bani Ruben, orang Gad dan setengah suku Manasye ada empat puluh empat ribu tujuh ratus enam puluh orang yang sanggup berperang, orang-orang yang tangkas, yang dapat memanggul perisai dan pedang dan melentur busur panah, yang terlatih dalam bertempur. |
| 5:19 And they made [06213] (8799) war [04421] with the Hagarites [01905], with Jetur [03195], and Nephish [05305], and Nodab [05114]. |
5:19 Mereka itu melakukan perang melawan orang Hagri, Yetur, Nafish dan Nodab. |
| 5:20 And they were helped [05826] (8735) against them, and the Hagarites [01905] were delivered [05414] (8735) into their hand [03027], and all that {were} with them: for they cried [02199] (8804) to God [0430] in the battle [04421], and he was intreated [06279] (8736) of them; because they put their trust [0982] (8804) in him. |
5:20 Mereka mendapat bantuan melawan orang-orang itu, sehingga orang Hagri itu dengan semua orang yang mengikutinya menyerahkan diri ke dalam tangan mereka, sebab mereka telah berseru kepada Allah dalam pertempuran itu. Maka Ia mengabulkan permintaan mereka, sebab mereka percaya kepada-Nya. |
| 5:21 And they took away [07617] (8799) their cattle [04735]; of their camels [01581] fifty [02572] thousand [0505], and of sheep [06629] two hundred [03967] and fifty [02572] thousand [0505], and of asses [02543] two thousand [0505], and of men [0120] [05315] an hundred [03967] thousand [0505]. |
5:21 Mereka mengangkut ternak orang-orang itu sebagai jarahan: untanya lima puluh ribu ekor, kambing domba dua ratus lima puluh ribu ekor dan keledai dua ribu ekor, juga manusia seratus ribu jiwa. |
| 5:22 For there fell [05307] (8804) down many [07227] slain [02491], because the war [04421] {was} of God [0430]. And they dwelt [03427] (8799) in their steads until the captivity [01473]. |
5:22 Banyak orang yang tewas karena mati terbunuh, sebab pertempuran itu adalah dari pada Allah. Lalu mereka menduduki tempat orang-orang itu sampai waktu pembuangan. |
| 5:23 And the children [01121] of the half [02677] tribe [07626] of Manasseh [04519] dwelt [03427] (8804) in the land [0776]: they increased [07235] (8804) from Bashan [01316] unto Baalhermon [01179] and Senir [08149], and unto mount [02022] Hermon [02768]. |
5:23 Setengah suku Manasye diam di negeri itu mulai dari Basan sampai Baal-Hermon, Senir dan gunung Hermon. Mereka sudah banyak jumlahnya. |
| 5:24 And these {were} the heads [07218] of the house [01004] of their fathers [001], even Epher [06081], and Ishi [03469], and Eliel [0447], and Azriel [05837], and Jeremiah [03414], and Hodaviah [01938], and Jahdiel [03164], mighty [01368] men [0582] of valour [02428], famous [08034] men [0582], {and} heads [07218] of the house [01004] of their fathers [001]. |
5:24 Inilah para kepala puak-puak mereka: Hefer, Yisei, Eliel, Azriel, Yeremia, Hodawya dan Yahdiel, orang-orang pahlawan yang gagah perkasa, orang-orang yang kenamaan, para kepala puak-puak mereka. |
| 5:25 And they transgressed [04603] (8799) against the God [0430] of their fathers [001], and went a whoring [02181] (8799) after [0310] the gods [0430] of the people [05971] of the land [0776], whom God [0430] destroyed [08045] (8689) before [06440] them. |
5:25 Tetapi ketika mereka berubah setia terhadap Allah nenek moyang mereka dan berzinah dengan mengikuti segala allah bangsa-bangsa negeri yang telah dimusnahkan Allah dari depan mereka, |
| 5:26 And the God [0430] of Israel [03478] stirred up [05782] (8686) the spirit [07307] of Pul [06322] king [04428] of Assyria [0804], and the spirit [07307] of Tilgathpilneser [08407] king [04428] of Assyria [0804], and he carried them away [01540] (8686), even the Reubenites [07206], and the Gadites [01425], and the half [02677] tribe [07626] of Manasseh [04519], and brought [0935] (8686) them unto Halah [02477], and Habor [02249], and Hara [02024], and to the river [05104] Gozan [01470], unto this day [03117]. |
5:26 maka Allah Israel menggerakkan hati Pul, yakni Tilgat-Pilneser, raja Asyur, lalu raja itu mengangkut mereka ke dalam pembuangan, yaitu orang Ruben, orang Gad dan setengah suku Manasye. Ia membawa mereka ke Halah, Habor, Hara dan sungai negeri Gozan; demikianlah mereka ada di sana sampai hari ini. |
